Custom Framing
Over the years custom framing services have been improved with the introduction of new products. These products include acid free matboards, acid free tapes, acid free glues, backings, and UV protectant glass.
All needlework is still laced.
Cameo is still the place to bring your photography, artwork, needlework, sports jerseys, certificates, medals, and memorabilia to be framed.
It is of utmost importance that you treat your quality artwork and family heirlooms with the expertise and care they deserve to protect their longevity. Kirsty has the experience, knowledge and expertise to do this.
Cameo Oaks
Cameo is still New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of handcrafted oval, oblong, cathedral, and round frames. These frames are made from Oak. They are available in most of the standard sizes starting from 7x5” and going up to 20x16”. The old-fashioned size of 19.5x13.75” would be the most popular size for recreating memories of the past. Custom sizes can be produced in Oval and Round.
Convex Glass
This old-fashioned bubble glass is still available in most of the standard sizes.

About Cameo Fine Arts
Cameo Fine Arts has been providing a custom picture framing service in North Canterbury for nearly 50 years. In March 2008, the business was purchased by Kirsty Watson. Kirsty is well known in the picture framing industry. She started her framing career at Tobi Products where she learnt everything from basic framing assembly, computer matt cutting and the finer details of custom framing. This business was closed in December 2005 with Kirsty being the Production Manager. Tobi Products was sold and renamed Classic Art and Framing Limited in 2006. Kirsty was the Manager of this business and worked in that capacity until she purchased Cameo.
